Given the uncertainty about the ability to keep lessons consistently in-person and other logistical challenges of safely reopening the studio, I am planning to continue with online lessons for the fall semester. Students have adapted well to the online format and are continuing to make good progress.

Thankfully, I have been able to find ways to continue sharing play-along activities and games in our online lessons. As we go forward, I will continue to search for creative ways to bring the fun and playful spirit of our in-studio lessons online.

To further improve the quality of online lessons, I am updating my technology. I am purchasing a microphone to improve the audio quality of lessons. Also, in order to demonstrate techniques more clearly, I will be adding an overhead camera to capture a better view of my hands. Additionally, I have been trying out new online platforms designed for music lessons that will offer a better audio connection than Zoom.
